TextMaster Split And Join is a file cutter and joiner clearly designed to be used in conjunction with your e-mail client. The idea behind this tool is that you can divide your big files into smaller pieces so that you can then attach them to an e-mail (or a series of e-mails) directly from this application. It is capable of interacting with your e-mail client - preferably MS Outlook -, thus making things quicker and easier for you. It even offers you an address book, which you can automatically fill up by importing your existing contacts list from Outlook.

This is certainly a bonus that you will not find easily in most “split and join” tools out there. This does not mean that you cannot use this application as the typical standalone cutter and joiner, according to the specifications. Regrettably, the promised 5-day trial period is simply not true, so it has not been possible for this reviewer to assess the wonders of its splitting and joining capabilities. According to Exnp, the joining option has no time limits in the trial version; the splitting functionality, however, is limited to five days from installation. The truth is that if you try to split a file just seconds after installing this tool, a message saying that the trial period has already expired will frustrate all your hopes. The joining option seems to work fine, but if you cannot split any file, there is not much you can do to test it. After installing it in different computers and after getting the same message repeatedly, I just gave up.
